There are three ways to search for products.
Search by category:
- Click on one of the categories that appear at the left side of the page (Cystic Fibrosis, Energy Boosting, Food Allergies, Gluten- & Wheat-Free, Infant Feeding Supplies, Infant Formulas, Low Protein & Metabolic, Thickening Products, Books, Workshops).
- A list of sub-categories will appear on the main page.
- Click on a sub-category name. This will bring up a list of products within the sub-category.
- To add products to your shopping cart, click on the “Add to Cart” button.
- You may also click on the product name or image to view further details about the product and click on the “Add to Cart” button.
- Click on the "quantity" box to enter the amount you want to purchase.
Search using the Product Search field:
- Enter the name or SKU you are searching for in the Product Search box at the top right of the page and press Enter.
- A page will be generated that displays your search results.
- Click on the link that best matches your search.
- Once you find a product that you would like to purchase, follow the same instructions as above to add and enter the quantity you want.
- If no results are found, try your search again. If your searches continue to be unsuccessful, try browsing through the categories.
Search by manufacturer:
- Click on “Browse by Manufacturer” at the bottom of the Categories listed on the left-hand side. A list of manufacturers whose products we sell will be shown.
- Click on the manufacturer to generate a list of their products.
To view more information about a product, click on the product name or image. Each product page displays the following information:
- Product image
- Product name
- SKU number
- Product description
- Product weight
- Product price
- The manufacturer
- Many products provide allergen information*
- Many products provide a link to the company’s website for further information
*Food Allergy Information: The Specialty Food Shop relies on the food manufacturers whose products we sell to supply us with complete and accurate allergen information. However, if you have a food allergy, read the nutrition label every time as ingredients may change without notice. Call the manufacturer if you have any questions about their product.
To view your shopping cart from any page in the Specialty Food Shop online store:
§ Click on the “Shopping Cart” link at the top of the website. This will take you to a page with the contents of your cart.
§ Every time you add an item to your cart, you will be brought to this page automatically.
The shopping cart displays the products that you have selected while shopping online including the name, SKU, price, quantity and the subtotal of your purchase. Shipping and taxes are calculated during checkout.
To continue shopping, click on the “Continue Shopping” button. This will take you back to the last product you have chosen to purchase.
To add a product to your shopping cart:
- Click on the “Add to Cart” button beside the product that interests you.
- When you add an item to your cart, you are automatically taken to a page with the details of your Shopping Cart.
- To adjust the number of item(s) in your shopping cart, change the number in the 'Quantity' column, then press the 'Update Cart' button.
- To remove an item while viewing your shopping cart, click on the 'Delete' button beside the product that you want to remove and then click on the 'Update Cart' button.
To reorder products from a previous order:
- Click the Login button at the top right of the Specialty Food Shop website.
- Enter your e-mail address and password.
- Once you are logged in, click on “My Account” at the top of the page.
- Click on the “View Your Order/Billing History” link at the top of the page.
- Click on the “Re-order” link to view your past order.
- You may change the quantities and products as you wish.
