COVID-19: Updates from Specialty Food Shop (March 18th, 2020)

Anticipated delivery delays until further notice
As the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation continues to evolve, please check back here for updates.
Due to the high volumes of orders deliveries will be delayed until further notice.
Delivery timelines are estimated from 3 to 14 business days. We are not currently accepting or processing RUSH shipments.

Important information about in-store pick-up
Specialty Food Shop is inside The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) on the Main Floor. For the latest updates on reductions to access to the hospital and how SickKids is keeping patients, families and staff safe, please click here.
We recognize that these temporary measures can be an inconvenience and we appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work together to protect patients, families and staff.  Please consider placing your order online.

Availability of products
Specialty Food Shop is currently experiencing high volume of orders.
Here’s what you need to know:
  • You will experience longer delivery times until further notice
  • Some items may take longer than usual to be back in stock in our warehouse
  • Be aware that certain products will have limits placed on them
    • Effective March 23, limits will be placed on all Low Protein IMD Covered Foods until further notice.
Specialty Food Shop is working closely with suppliers and delivery partners to ensure customers’ needs are met as soon as possible.

Updated Hours of Operation
Effective March 21, Specialty Food Shop will be closed on Saturdays until further notice.
Effective April 6, Specialty Food Shop will have reduced hours Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm
